Can you believe it’s February already? Valentine’s Day is a couple weeks away, but romance is already in the air. Roses and candy fill the store shelves, and even here on the internet we’ve broken out the conversation hearts.

Speaking of which…there’s one special candy heart somewhere on my website. Find it, and you can enter to win enough romance to fill your bookshelf in the Lookin’ For Love Web Hunt.

To participate in the web hunt, all you have to do is:

Visit each of the Omnific author’s websites listed below between February 1-14, 2011
Find the “hidden” candy hearts (one per author website with a different saying at each site)
Match the sayings on the candy hearts to the correct author using this form by February 14, 2011

When you correctly identify all of the candy heart sayings, your form will be entered into a random drawing for prizes. Grand prize is the entire eBook collection of Omnific Publishing’s titles then in publication! The runner up will win eBook editions of five Omnific Publishing titles of his or her choice. Ten additional winners will each win an eBook of A Valentine Anthology.

Giveaways Galore!

I can’t believe it’s only three days until the Whirlwind/12.21.12 Release Party! The food is ordered, the invitations given out, and the festivities planned. I’m excited, happy, and a little nervous. What if no one shows up? What if EVERYONE shows up? AAAAAAAHHHH!

Nervousness aside, I really wish everyone could come. So many devoted fans live all around the globe – I want to find a way to include everyone in the celebration. I’ll definitely be tweeting when I can during the day on Thursday, and hopefully be able to post a couple photos from the party. The online snacks will have to be virtual , but I’ll be posting a great fondue recipe and buttercream frosting recipe, if you’d like to indulge at home.

Valentine’s Day Books with LOVE Hop

Books with Love Hop

February 14th is coming fast

Can you believe Valentine’s Day is less than a month away?

The holiday commemorating love here in the US doesn’t seem to get quite the attention that Christmas does – I didn’t see a lot of red hearts and cupid decorations in the store two months ago. Maybe I missed them?

Since I’m all about celebrating love and romance, I’ve signed up to give away an autographed copy of Whirlwind through the Books with Love blog hop. Sites all over the blog-o-sphere will be linking together in February with recommendations, giveaways, interviews, and author appearances, all featuring books with love. As part of the festivities, I’ll be appearing as a guest blogger on onceuponatwilight’s blog , and you will be able to enter the giveaway there starting on the first day of the hop, February 14th. Be sure and keep an eye out for the lovely Books with Love logo (up on the right) where ever you go in internet-land until then.

Book Trailer is Here! And Another Excerpt

Without further ado:

A huge, HUGE thank you goes to my daughter, Megan, for composing and performing the music! Yes, I’m an extremely proud mom, but she is AMAZING!

Now about those blue eyes… Remember Mr. Sexy-From-The-Back? There’s a lot more to him than a finely-tailored tux.

Chase looked great, but he was only one of an entire herd of GQ-worthy, immaculate men—a stunning sight in their matching tuxedos. One of the guys I recognized as Mitch’s classmate, and a couple more were from the rodeo team, though I’d never seen them this clean before. The rest were anonymously good looking. They whispered to each other, playing with their ties or cuff links while they waited for their turn to show someone to their seat.

It was my first and only high school dance all over again.

Chase caught my eye and pointed to his neat bow tie before he questioned the guests in line ahead of me. I gave him a thumbs up, happy I could contribute something to Mitch’s big day. I stepped forward, expecting the I-got-stuck-with-her look from the next piece of eye candy.

A tall, lean stranger approached, stealing my breath.

He didn’t look directly at me at first, so he missed my Exorcist-like double take. I had two heartbeats to collect myself—and to shut my gaping mouth. The guy I’d seen with Chase earlier moved toward me so smoothly he seemed to skate across the carpet.

I recognized his movie-star hair immediately, the molten-chocolate waves just touching his collar, divided by a soft part just right of center. My previous assumption had been correct; he was exceedingly handsome. I drank in his flawless face, tracing his bold cheekbones and square, strong chin with my eyes, trying to find a suitable description for what I was witnessing. The word that came to mind wasn’t stunning or exquisite, though both were appropriate; it was familiar. This animated David reminded me of someone. Before I could put a name to his doppelganger, he turned to look at me, and all thought vanished. His eyes were the brightest blue I’d ever seen, and when our gaze met, time stopped.
