Music and writing go together for many authors. I generally select songs that go with the chapter or scene after I’ve written it, then use the songs I’ve collected to keep me in the characters as I move on to the next chapter. Some songs belong to certain characters, some belong to certain scenes, and one kind of encapsulates the whole story for me.
