Happy Mother’s Day

Ah, Mother’s Day. The day I get to sleep in, have breakfast served to me, and get the coolest handmade cards:

My son labeled me the “Coolest Mom on the face of the planet,” but not “a wart, zit, pimple, blackhead, sole acne dot, or other offensive facial problem.” My daughter listed why Mothers are Awesome and made me a Mother’s Day Word Lib. You can play it yourself HERE. My wonderful husband (the reason I’m a mom at all!) helped the kids make me breakfast. It’s been an awesome day so far.

But Mother’s Day isn’t just about getting, it’s about giving, too. Later, I’ll get to pamper my mom with dinner and her favorite flowers, hydrangeas.

So to all you moms out there: Happy Mother’s Day!

Wishing you love and joy,

Robin

ps. If my San Jose Sharks could win tonight, this Mother’s Day would be PERFECT!

Photo Friday

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, I have to embarrass my children. Here’s a shot from long ago…DANGER! CUTENESS ALERT!

Okay, even I went, “Awwwwww.” 😀 My babies are both teenagers now, so there won’t be any cuddling like this (unless they’re wrestling). But, babies or not, I’m blessed to call them mine.

This Sunday’s holiday may be about mothers, but I celebrate my children every day. I love you guys!

Are you planning anything for Mother’s Day? Do you celebrate it where you live? Comment on the blog and Share the Wealth!
